Cosmo is a contemporary British artist, who has spent the last 30 years working across Film, TV, Graphic design and digital media. As well as London, he has lived and worked extensively in Edinburgh, London, Paris and New York, the latter which, after living on Avenue B in Manhattan's Lower East side with his family, formed one of the core inspirations to his first solo exhibitions in both London and Victoria, Gozo. Cosmo has worked with charcoal for many years, and it seemed the most appropriate medium to capture this wonderful array of contrasts. The black on white and the soft and hard texture of the charcoal, create a vivid effect of contrasts, shapes and tones, continuing his exploration into the contrast between nature and humanity, where contrasting horizons meet, where dense, bustling streets open up to wide open seascapes.
